We had questions on using the Free plugin. Does anyone know the following? I also sent email to Kepler support:

1. Can the Kepler Custom Field source code be available in case Kepler stops supporting JIRA versions? Is it OPEN SOURCE? If so how do we get access?

2. How soon do the updated versions get release for compatibility with JIRA and UPM upgrades?

1. Yes (but it's very unlikely). No.

2. For major versions (5->6) it usually takes us 1-2 mo to release the new version for all our plugins.

Notes: We want to push at least some plugins into OSS - it has been discussed internally here - but so far there's no decision taken. Becoming OSS is not easy: you have to think at the level of the license, harmonize long-term goals, etc

Once the business decides we're going to be OSS, you will know (documentation, sources). That needs to be addressed as well, since for sure I have some comments in the code which qualify for 15+ advisory mark.
