Groovy script operations - How to multiply values in field

Michel Marcoux October 15, 2012

Hi,

I want to multiply the values in two customfields and display the result in another customfield.

ex: I have a field called 'Value1' and another field called 'Value2'. Both are drop down with numbers from 1 to 5. When I will create an issue, let's say I will select '3' in field Value1 and '4' in field Value2, I want the script to multiply those two values and display the result (12) in another field called 'Result'.

how will I do that?

thnx in advance!

I would suggest, you create a scripted field which reads the values from the other two fields and returns the result. See https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/wiki/display/GRV/Scripted+Fields

Thank you,

Krishna

Hi Krishna,

This is functionality of Script Runner for Jira app, see this Blog Post or the documentation.

Best regards,
Henning
