As a user it would be great if I could provide the parent information as a JIRA ISSUE code (i.e. JRA-1000)

Currently, to provide a parent information, the user MUST previously know the parent id of the issue (a internal number) in order to associate its subtasks.

It would be great if, providing the ISSUE JIRA code, the algorithm could be enough intelligent to discover the internal number and, after that, automatically provide the information (parent id).

This would be very useful when the user want to import lots of subtasks for a given (pre-saved and known) JIRA standard ISSUE.

Hope some response. Thanks in advance!

Michel
