We are running Jira 6.4 and eazyBI 4.5.4 in both, production and non-production environment. After import the XML file from production in the non-production environment, all the eazyBI configurations as accounts, cubes, reports etc are still the same as before the import; we still have the first test versions of these objects instead of from the production. The database connection is correct, also does the eazybi.toml file in jira_home, all other jira data is cloned.
What else needs to be considered as described in https://docs.eazybi.com/eazybijira/set-up-and-administer/set-up-and-administer-for-jira-server/cloning-of-jira-eazybi-Environments?
I believe @Martin Heini already got the answer in eazyBI Community page:
eazyBI has a separate database. Therefore Jira export / import does not include it by default.
If you would like to copy an eazyBI database to different environment then you can use the database migrator.
Please check if new environmend does not point to productional database (check eazybi.toml file of the new instance). This could lead to data inconsistency in production.
Best,
Zane / support@eazyBI.com
Hi Zane
Yes, thanks for that. After copying the database with native db tool from production to non-production Environment, I was succeeded to import all the eazyBI configurations. It's good to know that all the eazyBI data is really separated from Jira data.
Thanks, Martin
