Hello
I have configured in advanced roadmap , additional level of "initiative" above epics
in epics I have added the field "ParentLink" so I can add an initiative as parent
is it also possible to link between Epics & initiative but from the initiative side?
Hi @aya nayman For adding Epic as a Parent of Initiative, for this you need to change Roadmap Issue type hierarchy. It's will change for all JIRA projects.
Thanks

Hi
thanks for the reply, that's not what I wanted to do.
I was saying that there is an option to use Parentlink field and to select initiative .and so create paren-child connection between epics & initiative.
but I asked if there is a way to add epics to initiative , meaning as child issue.
not from the advanced roadmap view but as actual panel/field in the initiative view.
something that will be similar to the way stories can be linked and created in epics from the specific panel.

You can use EPIC Link field for Initiative issue type. Select Epic issue while creating an Initiative.

the hirarchy that I want to have is
Initiative->Epic-> Story.
for story there is field "epic link" where you can choose an epic
for epic there is a panel where you can create or link stories.
for epic & initiative:
for epic there is field "parent link" where you can choose an initiative
is there a field or a panel in initiative to link related epics ? so that the connection will be similar to the one in the advanced roadmap?

On Initiative you can use Epic Link or Linked issue field only to link Initiative with Epic.

yes I guess that the Linked issue field is the only way
or do it from the "plan" view with drag and drop.
maybe I will raise a feature request to have UX similar to adding stories in epics for that
thank you !
