Updateing Subtasks when Parenttasks gets updated

Hello Community :) 

We are using "Automation for Jira" and we need to Update all subtasks when the parenttasks gets update on the fixversion. 

How can we solve this with Automation for Jira?

Hi Markus,

I'm one of the founders here at Code Barrel, the creators of Automation for JIRA. You should be able to achieve this with a rule like this:

• Trigger: Field value changed and select "Fix Version"
• Action: Related issues with sub-tasks selected
  • On this branch add an 'Edit Action'
  • Add the 'Fix Version' field to the form and select 'Copy from parent' in the dropdown

That's it! Anytime the parent issue fix version changes, all sub-tasks will have their fix versions updated to match the parent.
