Unable to change Request Type in automation

Hello, I am trying to set up an automation which when a specific label is attached to a ticket, it clones the ticket to a different project, links the issue to the original ticket, and then changes the request type. When testing this, everything works perfectly except the "edit request type" automation step. I verified the project has the request type associated with the issue type. I receive this error from the audit log:

 

Edit request type
The request type couldn't be edited, because the chosen request type isn't based on this issue type.
Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank You.
