Timesheet Restricted Groups field difficult to use

Mark July 18, 2018

I am trying the "Timesheet Reports and Gadgets" add-on. In the configuration > Timesheet Restricted Groups field, it is a multiple selection box.

Our JIRA have integrated with AD so hundreds of AD groups are listed.

Let's say I have selected 10 groups first time. Then after a hour I want to change to 11 groups. When I press anywhere in the field, all selected 10 groups become "unselected". So it is really inconvinence to edit this setting.

Hi Mark,

I agree it's inconvenient, and I think it could be improved by making two select boxes and letting you move items between them to add/remove items.  Hopefully I will do this sooner or later.

Note, though, to add items, you just need to hold Ctrl key, when you click in list box.

Thank you.

Yes, having 2 boxes is much helpful.

Hi Mark,

Please see version 3.2.1 just released with new add-on configuration page UI.

Thank you.

What is the procedure to upgrade this add-on? Our users have existing timesheets and config.

I think you just need to go to Administration - Add-ons - Manage add-ons, see Timesheet Reports and Gadgets, and click Update.

Note, I assume you have Jira 7.x.
