Tempo Timesheets - Planning Vacations issues

Hi,

I'm evaluating Tempo Timesheets for my team, and regarding the timesheets part, I don't have issues so far. Then I found that the tool can also be used for vacations planning, and I thought that if it properly works it would be great for us because it would help us a lot.

Goal:

- Our goal is for our users to be able to plan their own vacations and submit them to their managers for approval. Every vacation change should always be approved by the managers.

Issues so far:

1. When planning time with plan approval mode ON, I can see the list of possible reviewers, but it's optional. I can select one reviewer to approve my vacations or I can leave it blank and they are automatically approved. I would like that all team members time planning could only be submitted with a reviewer selected. I couldn't find a way to enforce this, and this is a dealbreaker.

2. As a reviewer I don't have any area on Tempo Timesheets that instantly show me my pending approvals. Tried to set up the Activity Stream, and no activity related to plan time approval ever showed up. Without proper notification, it's hard to follow up on all requests, and this becomes also a dealbreaker.

3. As a user I can submit my vacations, request approval and after the approval process, they end up approved. If I edit those vacations and save them again, they are again submitted for approval. But, if I simply choose to delete some approved vacations, the manager/supervisor isn't notified. So he will never know that the user deleted approved vacation days. This turns the process completely out of control.

4. I'm still trying to figure out what is the big difference between having Internal Issues or Internal Activities (components) for vacation planning. I'm able to use both for the same thing, and from what I was able to understand the only difference is that you can also log work on the Internal Issues, so you can have a comparison between the planned and the logged time? Another thing I noticed, is that the colors on the plan approval process (yellow if pending approval, green if approved and red if rejected) only work if I plan using Internal Issues. Tried with an internal activity (component) and it always had the same styling.

Thank you.
