We use Testrail for test management, Confluence for requirements documentation and Jira for SW development. Requirement Yogi for Jira supports the RTM for Xray or Zephyr. Is there a way to establish requirements traceability to TestRail instead of Xray or Zephyr?
Hey Peter,
I am from the Requirement Yogi team :)
From the tags above I can see that you are on Server. You should be able to link requirements to any jira issue types, including issues set up as test cases, and that works for most testing apps, including Xray and Zephyr.
The only way we would not be able to link to test cases is if the test cases are not Jira issues, but objects of their own.
I could not try the Testrail app because you need their software to make the connection (I think). Depending on how the integration works in Jira, if it allows to create jira issues, you should be able to link requirements to them.
If not, we've noticed that Testrail has a REST API, and so do we. Meaning that you could use Testrail's API to get the tests, and ours to create requirements for example.
If you need further help with this and more technical advice, please let us know by opening a support ticket: https://support.requirementyogi.com/
Let me know if that answers your question :)
Best regards,
Mileva.

Hi Sanjen,
Unfortunately, your answer doesn't help me.
According to the Requirement Yogi for Jira documentation, an RTM can be created for Xray or Zephyr. I am looking for a possibility or solution to create an identical RTM to test cases in Testrail.
