Public viewing of questions

kurzum November 14, 2017

Hi,

we had a publicly viewable  Q&A space for our project (signup only required for posting). However, after all the confluence changes, Questions are not viewable by anonymous any more and we are unable to find the config option to turn it public again.

Can you help?

The space is at: https://dbpedia.atlassian.net/wiki/questions

Thanks,

Sebastian

Unfortunately there is no config option to re-enable anonymous access to Questions for Confluence (Cloud). This is one of many features that have simply vanished after this app's migration to the Atlassian Connect framework, see Functionality update and moving to our new cloud infrastructure for more details.

To be fair, the team has meanwhile addressed a few of those regressions to the app's former feature set, but as it stands, Atlassian has subverted several scenarios this app has been in practical use for, which pretty much seems to be a contradiction to one of their famous and highly regarded values.

As recommended in the referenced blog post, you might want to comment on the following issue to voice your priorities regarding an eventual reconsideration of vanished features like anonymous access to questions:
