I have an automation rule to create several subtasks which is triggered when a specific issue type is created.
My problem is when people Clones that issue, the rule also runs and we get the subtasks in double - the ones cloned from the initial issue and the ones created via the automation rule when creating this issue.
Is there a way to prevent the rule to run when it is for a clone issue?
Hi @Annie Charbonneau and welcome to Community!
Are you using Automation for Jira? If so, I can't test it right now but I think the below condition should do the trick. It should prevent the rule from running when it's a clone:
Hope this helps,

I believe you'd only need the "clones" link type.
The "is cloned by" refers to the issue you're cloning and the automation rule wouldn't create subtasks for the issue being cloned.
