We use JIRA to support different clients, and each client typically has a number of projects being run concurrently. Currently, each project is entered as a new project, with nothing (apart from the name) apparent to link it to other projects, or a master client. Is it possible to create a parent project or client, and then for each relevant client project to be listed underneath the parent?
I think what you are looking for is in this New Feature request, linking between project the same as linking between issues https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-5136
Hi Mariond,
At the moment we don't have parent project to child project structure in JIRA. However since you are interested to group a project for clients, then perhaps you may consider to use Project Categories instead. More details on this can be found in the following documentation:
Click the link next to the Category field (located under the project name) to assign the project into a logical category/group. This is useful for managing multiple related projects. If no categories exist, click the Add link on the following No Project Category page to add a new category.
Though it's not much, I hope that the info above helps.
Cheers.
