Is is possible to Hide Completed Tasks in WBS Gannt Charts?

ChristopherChilds March 15, 2022

Hello,

We have a Team who are working on multiple Campaigns not sprints.

Therefore, the board is Kanban, and they are looking for a way to not display issues when they are closed.

Is there a way to hide these closed tickets on the WGS Gantt Chart?

Hello @ChristopherChilds

Thank you for bringing this behavior to our attention and creating this Community Question.

You can create a board which doesn't display closed issues with WBS Gantt-Chart by creating a Chart based on a Jira Quick Filter.

Here's what you need to do:

  1. On your Jira's Top Navigation bar, click on Issues >> Search for Issues
  2. On the Search Filters, select the Projects  and Statuses you would like to see and click Search
  3. After validating the results, click on the Save As button next to the Search title and name your new Filter.
  4. From the Jira's Top Navigation Bar again, click on WBS Gantt-Chart >> Create Gantt
  5. At the 'Create a new Gantt...' screen, Click on the Create Gantt button corresponding from Create From Filter option;
  6. Name your Gantt Board, select the Filter you have just created and click on the Create Button.

That's pretty much it! You will be redirected to a new Gantt Board showing just the Open Issues from your project!

Hi Alessandro,

Thank you for your answer. I am assuming that there is no way yet to update the filter for the default WBS available when selecting the icon on the menu bar (on the right-hand side) in the project? That would be really nice.
