In Service Desk template comments the {CURSOR} "directive" does nothing

Henrik Mikkelsen August 27, 2017

Hi,

I'm evaluating scriptrunner "addon" for canned responses.

The one thing I can't get to work is the "{CURSOR}".

In visual mode for the comment it will not go to the right spot!

In text mode it seems to work though. Is that an expected behaviour or am I doing somthing wrong?

Hi, which version of canned responses are you using?

Can you send me your full template, JIRA version, and SR version? We are currently using that very version in our production instance of JIRA with SR and we do not have that problem.

Cheers!

Jira 7.3.1

SR 5.0.14

Canned 1.0.8

Hey, can you try this:

Hi ${customerFirstName},

{CURSOR}

Your ticket has been resolved.

Regards,
${agentFirstname}

Also, do you have any other editors enabled in your JIRA instance that isn't the built-in one? If you do, that might be the cause of the problem.

Cheers

Tried above.

Same reaction as my own template. It seems the error are there in *some* cases when comments are set to "Visual" and I use the Comment button. All the text seems selected. When I use text mode: no problem. Sometimes in visual mode: no problem. Ufortunately I can't recreagte the problem consistently.

No, to the best of my knowledge, I do not use any other editors

Can you capture your browser logs after the problem arises again? Without them I'm going to be flying blind.

Cheers and apologies for the inconveniences
