Hello codebarrel team,

How to trigger transition of a specific subtask based on other subtask transition ?

Please provide link to documentation how to support 2 below typical user-flow.

A Simple sequence:

A.1 If Subtask 1 is Closed then transit subtask 2 from "Waiting for Asset" to "Ready to start"

A.2 If Subtask 2 is Closed then transit subtask 3 from "Waiting for Asset" to "Ready to start"

... and so on.

A.3 If last subtask is Closed then transit Parent from "WIP" to "To Global Review"

B. Simultaneous sequence

B.1 If Subtask 1 is Closed then transit subtask 2 and 3 from "Waiting for Asset" to "Ready to start"

A.2 If Subtask 2 and 3 are Closed then transit subtask 4 from "Waiting for Asset" to "Ready to start"

Thanks!

Jacques

Hi Jacques,

thanks for your message. Unfortunately, this isn't something Automation for Jira supports right now.

Working with specific sub-tasks in Jira can be quite tricky. However, I have raised an issue in our improvement queue, which you can track here: https://codebarrel.atlassian.net/browse/AUT-1017 (you may need to view incognito)

We have quite a bit in the backlog to get through but once we get to this, we will pop you an email to let you know the change has been shipped.

Cheers,

John
