How to copy attachments from JSD (JSM - Jira Service Management) over to JSW in Cloud Version

JD Lobue November 12, 2020

We would like to create a JSM ticket, copy it over to a JSW and then delete the original JSM work item while copying over all attachments. How can this best be done?

Hi JD - You will need to use an add-on like Deep Clone to clone the ticket to a JSW along with the Attachments (and any comments).

I don't see Deep Clone as an option in Automation. How can I use the deep clone for jira option in automation?

You can't do it through Automation. You could do it through a Post Function in the workflow, though.

You can find more information about creating a Deep Clone post-function in our documentation.
