Getting and error while trying to integrated Cardboard with JIRA

When i try to to link CardBoard with a JIRA project, i get the following error for the JIRA credentials that I am using, 'Unable to connect with the credentials provided.'.

I am sure that the credentials are correct because i am able to log into JIRA using them.

Could someone help me with the cause of this error?
