Is it possible to place the current user in the field Reporter when a issue is created by a Manual Trigger rule?

Using Automation for Jira and Jira Software

Hi Marco,

You should be able to do this by setting the reporter field to the smart value initiator.

Like so:

Simeon [Automation for Jira]

Thanks, it works!

Will this also work in the jira cloud version?

In our case the reporter was set so "Automation for Jira" instead of the reporter

Hi Mirco,

It should, yes. If it was set to Automation for Jira then it sounds like your rule was triggered by another rule?

Cheers,

Simeon.

Hi @Mirco :-

It works for Jira cloud as well. My rule is running on the same.

Cheers,

Prashant
