Does anyone if the comments function has been removed in the new Insights Cloud version?
It existed in the app version, and was very useful. Is it a configuration issue, or has it been removed in the new version?
I was very surprised.. wanted to add some comments to the objects right now
Why is this needed feature removed?
We need it back > ASAP!
Confirming this as well - looking at the Insights App from Marketplace - there is a comment button, as well as two tabs in the Activity: Comments and History. However in the Insights Cloud - comments are missing.
Looking in the youtube Atlassian videos - there is an example of how to Migrate Insights App object schemas into Insight Cloud object schema, and video confirms - there are no comments functionality available in the Insight cloud.
Is it coming back soon? We need it for auditing comments on the CMDB we are building. Thanks.

Hi everyone - thank you for your patience. Just wanted to provide an update that we have just shipped the comments functionality on Insight objects (i.e. in the Insight feature as part of JSM). Feature request for this is here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-10079
For those using the Insight Cloud legacy app (due to go EOL 31 March 2022), we have also added comments data into the export schema / import schema flow that is in place to migrate your data to Insight as part of JSM.
