Can you set the name of a Test Execution when importing a Junit.xml via RestAPI?

Question says it all. I really hate the generated defacto names assigned to TestExecutions. Having the ability to set it via an argument would be incredible and lend itself towards cleaner documentation in JIRA.

I'm aware this is possible to do manually, but I have NO intention of manually changing TestExecution issue names, ain't no developer got time for that.

Lemme know if this is reasonable/possible/already-doable!

Hi Mitchell,

Sorry, but currently it is not possible to set the Test Execution names by argument, only manually as you have stated in your comment.

Actually, you're able to adjust the summary (what appears as the name) when using a JUnit multipart xml import. The JSON you send with it enables you to do this. Thanks for your help anyway :)

Hi Mitchell,

Yes, you are right, however the name is also used to match the Test Case and in situations where the Test Case already exists, the changing of the name must be used carefully because it may prevent the matching with the existing Test Case.

Please check our documentation about how the name matching is done: https://confluence.xpand-addons.com/display/XRAY/Taking+advantage+of+JUnit+XML+reports#TakingadvantageofJUnitXMLreports-Entities

Best regards,
