Hello,
I want to use a automation for time tracking. I'm using Tempo for time tracking but it takes time for start tracker for all tasks im working on it. I'm using Automation for jira. Is there any way to set an automation for when im transitioned an issue to "In Progress", this trigger tempo time tracker.
Since this topic relates to my current problem, maybe somebody can help me with my question:
Hi,
you should be able to log work through a web request.

Hey Necati,
thanks for your message.
Unfortunately, logging work (via tempo) isn't yet possible with Automation for Jira. We are tracking an improvement for it here: https://codebarrel.atlassian.net/browse/AUT-1269
You can log work directly with Jira: https://docs.automationforjira.com/reference/actions.html#log-work
You can also integrate with Tempo in some ways as per this blog: https://blog.codebarrel.io/automation-for-jira-now-compatible-with-tempo-accounts-643ed61b86c
But automatically logging work via tempo is still in the backlog.
Cheers,
John

Hey @John McKiernan
the third link is broken – do you have another source for this article?
Thank you!

Hey @Marvin Brand ,
Yes unfortunately we had to remove the blog as the information was becoming outdated and was no longer managed by Atlassian.
The best I can offer is a snapshot of the blog from the archives. Imperfect but hopefully will help.
Cheers,
John
