Can I automatically add smart checklists to different Jira components?

Hi there, I'd like to add smart checklist templates to different components. Is there a way I can do this as I can add checklists to diffentent issue types?

The article you are referring to is somewhat misleading as it is not about Smart Checklist. 

If you are indeed asking about adding the Smart Checklist add-on, then you can:

• Server version: We offer Default Template Extended Conditions allowing users to add condition blocks specifying various various fields (including components). You can select different components for your templates using this feature. Find more details here.
• Cloud version: It is possible to create an automation rule with required conditions to be set that will add a checklist based on a selected component. You can find some more examples here.
