Hello everyone,
ist there any possability to automate swimlane creation?
My Problem:
I want to automatically create swimlanes when changing the status of one issue to a specific other. For Example: I created a new issue which is automaticly in the backlog of my project. Now I change the status of this issue to "in production". If this happens a new swimlane has to be created with specific filters.
Welcome to the community!
Swim lanes is a Board feature .. and you would need to configure the Board and the swim lanes.. Typically you would map the Issue Status to each of the swim lanes which you have created.
Refer to the documentation for more details - https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/configure-swimlanes/
Cheers
Ajay
Hey @Ajay _view26_ thank you for your answer!
So by default there is no option to create such automatic swimlane creation?

Trust you are well.
If you consider Partner Apps you might try Advanced Kanban Boards. We allow to automatically create swimlanes or columns on any jira standard or custom field. So, in case you define swimlane by some field and a new value will be assigned to one of the issues a new swimlane will be created automatically and issues will be moved there.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Yuri.
