Any road map to becoming ITAR compliant with JIRA cloud? Removing JIRA on prem license make me wonder about the impact of customers to where their company data is sensitive to US only, or government type work.

ITAR compliance, as of this answer, isn't currently on our public-facing roadmap. We do have an open feature suggestion, which you can vote and comment on here: CLOUD-10916 . Watching the feature request is also the best way to keep on top of any updates about ITAR compliance right now.

For the moment, the ongoing option for companies that need to meet specific compliances such as ITAR that aren't yet certified in Jira Cloud would be to utilize Jira Data Center in their controlled on-premise environment. It's also possible to continue using Jira Server after the maintenance period has run out, as Jira Server licenses are for perpetual use (although support and security updates will not be available beyond 2024).

Our team is constantly evaluating which regulations and compliances - SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and ISO 27018 were recently delivered for some of our Cloud products. FedRAMP and HIPAA are currently on the compliance roadmap. I hope that provides a little clarity!
