Hi Team,
I want to achieve a functionality which will allow me to check for a particular value in existing list (custom field) and add value in it if it does not exist.
For Example : I have captured an email address in a custom field from incoming email. I would like jira to scan already existing list (custom field) values for the captured email address and if it does not exist it will add that to the list.
so you have 2 custom fields, right?
I think it is not possible to add a value to the select list via an addon. you have to do this manually as admin.
but you can use addon like automation for jira to notify you when the new entered value does not exist.
when issue is changed and JQL does not find any other issue with the vaule from CF1 in CF2, then it can send you a mail. and after it, you have to manually add the value in your list.
