cannot add created custom field to a issue

I had created a custom field in an Next-gen software project, the idea its that these custom field not be visible, becouse i want to have a field with non-visible data, and then capture these data with the api rest.

Well, having said that, i clicked on settings => issues, and i create my read Only custom field.

But i can´t associate it with the project,  and it doesn't appear visible when I create an issue.

I see that on clasic projects these works fine, but i need on next gen project,

i´m using scrum template.

anyone have any idea how can i do this?

Sorry for my english, i speak spanish

Thanks!

You can’t create custom fields in the classic sense and apply to a NG project. You can only add fields under the project settings > issue types within the project itself.

hello Jack, thanks for the answer,

Yes, i know that, my question is how can i create and put a non-visible field in the next gen project. I think that this it not working
