Workflow Transition Rule: Custom field not available for selection

I have created a Team-Based Project and am trying to create some restrictions on the workflow.

When I used the transition rule Restrict to when a field is a specific value, only a small subset of the custom fields I created are available for selection.

For example, I have created a Dependent Dropdown that I would like to use within the rule, but it isn't available for selection.

Are there limitations to what fields are available to use for the transition rule I mentioned?

Not so sure about dependent dropdown as it would need multiple specific values. Some rules in different areas may not work with certain custom field types based on the logic of how the rule is design. Are the ones working also dependent dropdown type or something else?

I only have 1 Dependent Dropdown field in my project.

The others that are showing up are:

  • User fields
  • Number
  • Text
  • Some System default fields

For example, below 2 pictures are the list of fields available for selection in the transition rule:
