WebDAV File upload Errors

Kevin Sweeney December 11, 2013

We are attempting to migrate our JIRA tickets from one JIRA OnDemand istance to another OnDemand instance. The file export from the source instance downloaded successfully, however when attempting to move that file to the WebDAV directory on the new instance I've gotten the following errors:

- Items can’t be copied to “webdav” because you don’t have permission to read them.

- The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -8062)

My account is part of the administrators group.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I switched to Windows Explorer and mapped a drive to the WebDAV URL. With that I was able to successfully move my JIRA export file to the WebDAV directory of the destination instance. Problem solved.

I would make sure that this doc is followed: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Uploading+Data+via+WebDAV

One of the key things it lists is the file size (chunks cannot be larger than 4GB). Also, make sure your using 'https' whenever your trying to connect with the instance (because only ports 80 and 443 are accepted).

If you've followed all of that and its still not working, please elaborate a bit more on how you're transfering the files over.

Thanks David.

The file is 2.2GB, and I'm using https to connect using Apple OSX, Finder (v10.9).
