Unable to create issues under EPIC

ERROR: Couldn't create child issue.  Check connection and try again.  I had no problem saving the EPIC and everything else on PC suggests there is NOT a connectivity problem with the internet. Suggestions?

I have had this problem happen for 2 reasons (there are probably many more potential reasons).

1) My session timed out and the cookies got into a bad state. I actually had to restart my PC for that to go away.

2) My browser had a popup blocker that was preventing the create-item dialog from appearing.

So, not to be the IT guy - but I would suggest clearing your cookies and restarting your PC. If you've already done that, and if you have a testing project, try creating a child issue for an epic on another project.
