Do you have any extensions running in Chrome? Have you tried using an incognito window to see if that works?
I have few extensions, I tired in incognito mode and it worked perfectly. Why it is not working in normal mode.

Most likely it is one of your extensions that is interfering, the only thing I can recommend is to try and find out which one by disable/enable each of them.

Found it, its my Note book web clipper extension. Lucky I got in 3rd attempt.

I experienced this same issue. The culprit was the same extension - Notebook Web Clipper.
