Unable to access epic custom field with same name as system field

Jira project - ABCD e.g. issue key=ABCD-123

Testing project - Android One

I have a requirement to compare the testing project in the epic with the testing project in the linked issue. By project here don't confuse with the Jira project.

Whenever I try to fetch epic project name in issue using {{issue.epic.project}}, it gives the Jira project but I need to check  testing project.

In order to retrieve a custom field value through smart value within an automation please take a look to the following article https://confluence.atlassian.com/automation/find-the-smart-value-for-a-field-993924665.html

Please try to use custom field id instead.

I tried {{issue.epic.customfield_id.value}} and it worked.
