The new issues has automatically disappeared after changing the status to custom created status

Hello All,

I have created a custom column and status in Team managed project. When I changed the status to new status(Custom created status)  the issues are disappearing from Backlog. How can we make it stay under backlogs.

Can you look at your filters board and see if this status is in the JQL
