How can I provide external access to JIRA projects? I am collating work on JIRA internally and will share with internal teams but need to provide access to external developers outside of the company.

How do I do this?

Welcome @Lindsay Brook-Hartop

You would invite your external users to your JIra, but also you wanna make sure that they have the limited access. I'd suggest creating a new project role named Externals and have the new permission schemes for your projects.

Also, I'd suggest checking this article as well if you have your identity provider: https://success.atlassian.com/solution-resources/agile-and-devops-ado/platform-administration/managing-external-users-contractors-in-a-cloud-world

Thank you so much for your help. I want to be able to use their own external emails to invite but need to understand how to create permissions within the projects to limit/restrict them.
