Hello @Shashank Aman

Please provide a screen image and indicate where the description placeholder text is being displayed.

Also please provide a screen image of the same dashboard's configuration showing that it actually has different text in the Description.

Can you provide a screen image showing where that has been configured to show different text?

Is this a custom gadget that you have developed, or did it come from a third party app?

The screen image you have show appears to be from a Jira Server or Data Center environment, but your post is tagged as Jira Cloud. Can you please confirm which hosting type/product you are using? If you click on the Help button in the menu bar of your Jira app and select About Jira, what information do you get?

Hi @Trudy Claspill In About Jira basic info about jira i get like credit and all. This is a custom gadget that user has developed for himself. We are hosting our Jira in cloud. We have two environments i.e for testing and for production, in testing there is no issue like this, but in production we have this issue since we upgraded jira to 9.15.2 in last week of july 2024.

For clarity in this community when we refer to "Jira Cloud" we are referring to the Software-as-a-Service Jira product that Atlassian hosts on their own servers. This term is not used to refer to the Jira Data Center product that clients self-host on instances in a Cloud provider like AWS.

I asked about the content of the About Jira dialog because if it showed a version number like 9.x.x, that would be an indication that you use the Jira Data Center (or Server) self-hosted product. The Jira Cloud product does not show a version number like that.

Your mention of upgrading to Jira 9.15.2 indicates you are using Jira Data Center, not Jira Cloud.

Unfortunately I don't have expertise in gadget development so I am unable to provide advice on how to resolve your problem.

Since this post is a week old, you might want to try reposting it again in a new Question to get new eyes on it. In your new post you should be clear that you are using the Jira Data Center product, give the version number, and note that this is a custom gadget that has been developed within your company.
