Personal custom issue templates

Deleted user March 3, 2014

Is it possible for users of Jira to create their issue templates? For example, if they personally are always entering a similar sort of issue, can they save this to their account to make entering issues quicker for them?

Depends on what version of JIRA you are using. In the newer versions you can 'Configure Fields' on issues to hide fields that you never fill in. This can simplify the guess work for the end user significantly. They need to be trained on it though, not sure if you could apply this globally.

To globablly simplify it though, you could structure the screens to flow better or try using tabs on the screens to hide developer stuff from end user fields. Just some ideas.

Sorry I don't think I was very clear. Is it possible for fields to autofill for their own personal issues. For example, if they always create a bug that has the description of an area, could they have a template that automatically fills out these areas for their own personal use?
