I asked a question about erroneous notifications a few minutes ago which I've just deleted as I've got to the root of the problem...
My project's Lead is me. The default assignee is set as the Project Lead (me). However, when the Mail Handlers receive an issue by email, it sets the Assignee to be the "dummy" user I've set up to receive the emails ('support').
In the Mail Handler settings, there's no way to specify the Assignee that I can see. But why is the Mail Handler overriding the project settings and making 'support' (the reporter) the Assignee instead of me?
I do - and having re-read the docs, I see what that does. Notwithstanding the fact that I didn't read the docs properly (or rather, didn't remember them), the help text in the Mail Handler creation window states the first CC'd user will be assigned.... There's nothing there about the TO: field also being checked and creating assignees from that...
