Jira default group

When a user is created, the user is assigned Jira software and confluence product access. Then the new users adopts 4 projects access automatically.

In this case we only want to specify the project that users will adopt when they get assigned to jira software.

Can you advice how i can achieve this.

Hi @miracle_johnson_ubermetrics-technologies and welcome to the Community!

Product access and project access are different things indeed. When you look at the permissions of your projects via Project Settings > Permissions - have a look at the browse project  permission. Most likely you will see that Any logged in user has access to your projects. That setting is responsible for the situation where any new user also has access to all projects.

If you want to take more control over project access, you should remove this Any logged in user option from the permission scheme of your projects and - following best practices - replace it with roles.

There may be a bit of a learning curve to learn how to do this properly. So before you start making changes, take a good look at this support article on configuring permission schemes.

Also: this video and this one  may be a interesting resources.

Hope this helps!
