Hello @Max
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
What type of projects are within the scope of your board? Get project Type information from the View All Projects page under the Projects menu.
What type of board is it; i.e. Scrum, Kanban?
Depending on your project type and the board type the possibility of displaying subtasks and the method to do that vary. The first thing you have to determine is if the scope of the board (the underlying filter) includes the subtask issues that you want to display.
Does the scope of the board include the subtask issues?

For a Team Managed project the only way to make Subtasks display on the board as cards is to change the Group By option to Subtasks

screen 1 - this is my board, I have two sabtasks in the task "Catalog". I want to see these subtasks on the board.
so when I've added the custom filter for the subtasks I still can't see the subtasks on the board.
screen 2 - I still don't see the tasks :(
Here is the query filter settings
screen 3 - filter settings
here is the lists of the subtasks that I want to see on the board
screen 4 - the same filter on the "issues menu"
