In the old and new views of the JIRA issues, I am unable to change the Assignee. When I click to update the field, it just sits and thinks, then after about 6 seconds I get the message 'no options.'

What is the solution for this issue?
Our company is also having this issue right now. I know I have added the user to have access to Jira Software and include the same new user to the group that our projects use.
But when assigning an issue bug, we cannot find the new user's name.

Also have the same issue and I can no longer tag a user on case comment unless they 1) created the case 2) are a watcher of a case 3) have already commented on a case
