How to upgrade jira instance from 4.x to 7

Hello Team,

Just to know, is it possible to Upgrade multiple Jira instances 4.X, 5.X, and 6.X TO 7.X version?

Please let me know how to do it.

It is very much possible ;

1) You need to read all the release notes carefully  - it will help you understand as to what's new in the new version you will be moving to and what you might not see in the new version.

2) Careful with all your plugins - looking at your path of upgrade , a lot of plugins and their respective versions may have been phased out.

3) Verify all dependencies properly - java versions, os , database types and versions - what maybe supported in 7 may not have been supported in 6 . So also choose your database carefully.

Technically it is possible. It is bit difficult but not impossible.
