How to switch from Advanced Search to Basic Search

When I create a new filter with a search query, I cannot switch back to a basic view from JQL view. Can anyone help with this?

If you click the "Search" button, once results are returned the switch to basic will be un-ghosted.

I tried, it still won't let me switch back to basic! :(

Did the entered JQL return results? Also it may be that the JQL cannot be translated to Basic. Clear the JQL completely and then switch.

Try this -

  1. enter “assignee = currentuser()”
  2. hit return and verify you get results
  3. see of the Basic option is active
