How are you entering "client account"?

SimonO December 26, 2014

Ah, yeah, sorry.

Client Account is a custom field at the issue level that denotes a sub-project. So the issue is created under a project, and the user selects a sub-project or client account from a drop-down. I believe Client Account is a Tempo field.

Ultimately I would like a monthly project report that is grouped by Client Account and shows the total hours for that sub-project along with the sum total of the hours by individual who worked on the project,

Most custom fields are searchable in standard ways - in the simple search, find the field on the list of fields and Jira will generate the list of options. In the advanced search, just type "client account" and it will autocomplete the name of the field, then values when you add the operators.
