How do I copy a Project Layout?

Hello,

My team uses a team-managed, software-development scrum board for our Jira Project. I want to copy its layout into a different project. I don't want to copy issues over, only the layout. For example, the custom fields, board workflow, and issue types.

Is there a way to do this that doesn't include manually making each part of this project in the new project?

Thanks in advance.

For team-managed projects it is not quite possible since it has kind of a special configuration where regular users (other than system admins) are allowed to edit.

If you are an administrator, you can create a Company-managed project with shared configuration as stated in here.

Hi @McKenna Hogan

Copying the layout of a team-managed project in Jira (including custom fields, board workflow, and issue types) isn't directly possible.

If you need more flexibility, you might consider our app Deep Clone for Jira. Deep Clone can clone your team-managed project without its issues if you have configured its Advanced Project Clone feature.

To only clone the project, you can stop the process after the project has been cloned and don't have to proceed to cloning issues into the new project.
