How can I release a Cross Project release in Jira plans?

Hi,

 

I am using Jira Plans to create cross project releases in Jira. I am attaching 6 project releases to it. The cross project release is released only when the 6 releases are released separately. Is there a way to do it vice versa? What I mean is that is there a way I can release the cross project release and all 6 releases are released as a result? 

Right now I don't see an option of "release" for the Cross Project Release.

Also is there a way to programmatically create a cross project release via API?

Welcome to the community.

No this can't be done, using cross-project release option in a plan.

Currently there is also no API for Plans, but this seems to be in progress, see JSWCLOUD-20360
