How can I pull tasks into a query that shows items in current sprint

I have a filter that was created to pull in all issues (stories, tasks, bugs, etc.) for a particular user for only the active sprint.  If I don't specify the active sprint everything gets pulled in.  But when the Active sprint is part of the filter, the tasks do not show up.

Are you sure the tasks are in the active sprint you are referring to in your JQL?

If  you can share the issue view for one of the tasks once you hide any confident any info

Yes the tasks are all in the active sprint as well.  This is a Next Gen project so not sure if there's something different/funky about those.
