How To Automatically Assign Epic Links

Hello everyone,

I wanted to know if there is a script or feature that allows for automatically assigning Epic links to specific cases as rather than manually selecting it. It makes the process alot smoother especially if I'm running through multiple assignment that may have gone unassigned to its required epic link (human error lol). Thanks.

How would you know to which epic to assign the issue (e.g. story)?

If you can determine it from fields in the story, and then find the epic with JQL, this could be done using an automation for Jira rule.  Please look here for some information/examples if you want to try that approach, and let the community know if you get stuck trying this approach:
