Hi
I would like to hide some fields on the view issue screen. I have added some custom fields to the View Issue screen but only want restricted users to be able to see the information in those fields and edit the information, but also want to allow all users to see the rest of the information on the view issue screen. How can i do this?
You can't configure this on onDemand as JIRA doesn't have field security by default. Customizations are not allowed on onDemand.
Ok thanks - shame about this, think it would be useful for all users

Atlassian explicitly ruled out implementing it years ago.
There is a field security plugin which does most of the work, but as Jobin points out, you can't use it in OnDemand. It may become enabled in the future, but the only timescale we've got is "summer 2013", and we're not sure what that might include/enable.

Can you please tell me what the plugin is if we decide to switch to Download version?

Oddly, typing jira field security into a search engine gives you https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.quisapps.jira.jfs
