Hello, i want to achieve the following:

In a Jira project ZZ I want user x to be able to view user y issues and vice versa.

Any tips on how to achieve this?

Hi there and welcome to the Atlassian Community!

You can achieve this with a combination of Automation and Issue security.

  • You would have to create an Issue security scheme where you have security level for user X and user Y in project ZZ.
  • Automation which sets the security level when issues for one of both are created

Security schemes:

Hope this helps!
