Exporting tasks, including comments and uploaded assets such as images and documents?

Lexy Hall June 9, 2014

We are looking to close down our JIRA account and migrate our projects over to another agency, who also uses JIRA.

Is there a way that we can do so, and also inlcude the transition of tasks which have long threads of comments and assets assigned to them such as screengrabs, images, PDF docs, etc?

I have found a wealth of Q&A's around exporting, but haven't been able to establish whether we can do the above to retain an exact copy of the project, but in a new instance.

Feedback much appreciated!

The export and (project) import stuff you've found will keep everything (comments etc) except attachments (although you might also need to duplicate users in the target system to get a full exact copy). You'll need to copy attachments separately, but you can use the same directory structure which is directly mapped to the projects.
